Understanding Attitudes and Policy Preferences in Response to South-South Migration: A Pilot Experimental Study (MI-ATTITUDE)

This project aims to advance our understanding of the factors that affect individual policy preferences towards migration in the context of south-south migration. We explore the case the case of Venezuelan migration to Colombia, an unprecedented wave in recent history. By combining observational data with original conjoint survey experiments, we shed new empirical and theoretical light on the determinants of immigration attitudes in a context that does not feature obvious differences between migrants and host country citizens. The Socio-Economic Impact of Refugees on Local Communities (SERLOCAL)

This project aims to advance our understanding of the socio-economic impacts of refugee resettlement in the United States, the top resettlement country in the world. The project puts particular emphasis on the impacts of the arrival of resettled refugees on the education and health outcomes of other residents, as well as social cohesion at the local level.More information here.

The Economic Integration of Refugees in the UK (ECONREF)

This project provided quantitative evidence on the labour market and well-being outcomes of refugees in the UK. Based on the research findings and with close collaboration and input from refugee support organisations and policymakers, the project explored the implications for policies related to refugee integration. The Labour Market Impacts of Forced Migration (LAMFOR)

This project provided quantitative evidence on the consequences of forced displacement for those that are displaced, their hosts and those that returned home after the end of the conflict. The projected focused on the case of Tanzania as the host country of refugees and Burundi as the main source country of refugees.More information here.
